The Land Leveler V2 can also be used to maintain arenas, fields, and other open areas where a smoother, more consistent surface is needed for safer and better performance.

The Catawba Land Leveler V2 is the updated version of our original Catawba Land Leveler, built for tractor owners who need a stronger, smoother-performing attachment for gravel driveway maintenance, road grading, soil leveling, and general property work. This new and improved Version 2 takes the proven design customers already trust and pushes it further with a longer frame, added weight, upgraded side plates, and improved wear shoe ends for better performance in tough conditions.

Also known as a tractor land grader or 3-point land leveler, this attachment is designed to level, grade, smooth, and spread loose material such as gravel, dirt, sand, and soil. It is especially useful for maintaining gravel driveways, smoothing rough roads, filling low spots, correcting washboarding, and preparing ground for landscaping or seeding.

The Catawba Land Leveler V2 is easy to use with your tractor’s 3-point hitch. By adjusting the top link, material flows over the first blade, churns between the blades, and levels out from the rear blade to help create a smoother, more even surface. Crowns can also be applied by adjusting the 3-point hitch, making this land leveler a practical choice for driveway maintenance, road shaping, and property cleanup.

Questions & answers

Catawba Land Leveler V2 FAQs

What is a land leveler used for?
A land leveler is used to smooth, grade, level, and spread loose material such as gravel, dirt, sand, and soil. The Catawba Land Leveler V2 is especially useful for gravel driveway maintenance, road grading, soil preparation, property cleanup, and creating a smoother, more even surface with a tractor. You can also view more tractor grading and property maintenance tools in our 3-Point Attachments category.
Is a land leveler good for gravel driveway maintenance?
Yes. A land leveler is one of the best tractor attachments for maintaining a gravel driveway. It can help smooth ruts, reduce washboarding, spread loose gravel, fill low spots, and improve the overall shape of the driveway.
What is the difference between a land leveler and a land grader?
A land leveler and land grader are often used to describe the same type of attachment. Both are designed to grade, smooth, and level material behind a tractor. The Catawba Land Leveler V2 works as a tractor land grader for driveways, roads, dirt work, and general land maintenance.
What is improved on the Catawba Land Leveler V2?
The Catawba Land Leveler V2 improves on the original version with upgraded 1/4″ Grade 50 side plates, a longer 55″ frame, added weight for better down pressure, and 45° wear shoe ends designed to improve material flow and reduce drag.
Can the Catawba Land Leveler V2 fix driveway ruts?
Yes. The Land Leveler V2 can help smooth small to moderate driveway ruts by redistributing loose gravel and leveling uneven areas. For severe washouts or major driveway repair, additional grading work or fresh material may be needed.
Can a land leveler spread gravel?
Yes. The angled blade design helps gravel flow through the attachment, allowing it to spread and level material as the tractor moves forward. This makes the Land Leveler V2 useful for spreading new gravel or redistributing existing gravel on driveways and roads.
Is a land leveler better than a box blade?
A land leveler is usually better for smoothing, maintaining, and finishing gravel driveways, roads, and loose material. A box blade is better for cutting deeper, moving larger amounts of material, and reshaping rough areas. Many tractor owners use both depending on the job.
Is a land leveler better than a landscape rake?
A land leveler is better for grading, smoothing, and leveling surfaces. A landscape rake is better for pulling loose debris, cleaning up sticks and rocks, and lighter finish work. For gravel driveway maintenance, a land leveler is often the better choice when the goal is to smooth and level the surface.
Does the Catawba Land Leveler V2 work with a quick hitch?
Yes. The Catawba Land Leveler V2 is Quick Hitch compatible and is designed for Cat 1/2 hookup compatibility.
Is the Catawba Land Leveler V2 made in the USA?
Yes. The Catawba Land Leveler V2 is designed and built in the USA using Grade 50 high-strength steel and USA-made reversible blades.
What size land leveler do I need for my tractor?
The best size depends on your tractor size, horsepower, tire width, and the type of work you plan to do. In most cases, buyers choose a land leveler wide enough to cover their tractor tire tracks while still staying within the tractor’s pulling capacity. Always check the spec sheet before ordering.
