The Catawba Skid Steer Land Leveler is built for grading, leveling, loosening compacted ground, and separating rocks from soil—all with one versatile attachment. Available in 6-foot and 7-foot widths, it combines a heavy-duty Grade 50 frame with Hardox® 500 Tuf wear components in the areas that take the most abuse.

Hydraulically controlled scarifier shanks allow the operator to loosen hard-packed soil, cut high spots, and prepare material before leveling. Removable rock screens can be changed to match different rock-screening needs or removed when screening is not required.

Built with Hardox® 500 Tuf Where It Matters

The frame is constructed from 3/8-inch Grade 50 laser-cut steel for strength and accurate fitment. The shanks, cutting blades, serrated cutting edge, and blade carrier are manufactured from 1/2-inch Hardox® 500 Tuf wear steel.

Using Hardox® in the blade carrier is especially important because it protects the critical mounting structure behind the replaceable cutting blades. This helps reduce wear around the blade mounting points and supports longer service life in abrasive soil, gravel, and rock.

Questions & answers

FAQs

What is the Catawba Skid Steer Land Leveler used for?
It is designed for grading, leveling, loosening compacted ground, maintaining gravel surfaces, preparing soil, and screening rocks and debris.
Are the scarifier shanks hydraulically controlled?
Yes. A 2.5-inch × 8-inch welded hydraulic cylinder raises and lowers the scarifier assembly from the skid steer.
Can the shank depth be adjusted?
Yes. The scarifier shanks feature adjustable height positions, allowing the working depth to be matched to the ground conditions and job.
Can the rock screens be removed?
Yes. The rock screens are removable and replaceable. This allows the attachment to be configured for different rock-screening requirements or operated without the screens when screening is unnecessary.
What parts are made from Hardox 500 Tuf?
The 1/2-inch scarifier shanks, cutting blades, serrated cutting edge, and blade carrier are manufactured from Hardox 500 Tuf wear steel.
Why is a Hardox blade carrier important?
The blade carrier supports the replaceable cutting blades and contains their critical mounting locations. Constructing it from Hardox helps prevent the carrier itself from wearing prematurely in abrasive material.
