Staff Sergeant Steven Hines

“Play by the rules, or don’t play.” That was one of Steven Hines’s favorite sayings, and it matched the way he carried himself. During his seven years in the United States Army, he worked as a CID Agent, handling serious investigations involving Army personnel and property. He took the work seriously and had little patience for cutting corners.
Steven took that responsibility seriously. He believed in doing things the right way, and one of his favorite sayings summed it up well: “Play by the rules, or don’t play.”
Outside of work, Steven enjoyed karaoke and had a real love for music and performing. Friends and family knew this lighter side of him well.
Staff Sergeant Hines passed away on February 5, 2017. His years of service, the standards he lived by, and the memories he left behind continue to mean a great deal to those who knew him.
His mother, Brenda Hines-Maidlow, shares this memorial in loving memory of her son and his service.
